
Dennis P. Hennigan

Dennis P. Hennigan joined Costello, Cooney & Fearon, PLLC in May 2004 as a partner with the firm. He is currently working as Of Counsel. His work focuses on labor and employment law, business and corporate transactions and governance matters, and commercial litigation, where he represents clients in federal and state courts in litigation relating to contract rights, construction law, corporate liability and general business law matters.
Dennis graduated from the University of Rochester in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He earned a Master's degree in public administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs in 1976. He then attended Case Western Reserve University School of Law and in 1980, he received his Juris Doctorate. He was a member of the Order of the Coif and served on The Case Western Law Review from 1978 to 1979. Dennis was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1980 and, in 1982, he was admitted to the New York Bar and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio. In 1983, he was admitted to the U.S. District Court, Northern District of New York.
In his spare time, Dennis is a college football official with the Atlantic Coast Conference and is a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference Football Officiating Group and the Eastern Association of Intercollegiate Football Officials. He began his officiating career in 1976 as a member of the Central New York High School Football Officials Association. He has been officiating at the collegiate level since 1983. He has been the head referee at the National Championship Game, the Army-Navy Game, the Rose Bowl, the Fiesta Bowl, and numerous other bowl games.
