New York State Paid Voting Leave Amendments Are Now Effective: Board of Elections Issues Revised Employer Posting

In an update to our recent Legal Alert regarding NYS paid voting leave, the Governor signed into law the 2020 budget amendments on April 12, 2019, including the amendments to Election law which now affords employees who are registered voters with up to three (3) hours of paid leave to vote. 
 

The State Board of Elections has now revised its posting regarding the paid leave available to employees. The posting is available at the NYSBOE website here.
