Heidi M. P. Hysell

Heidi M. P. Hysell is Special Counsel at Costello, Cooney & Fearon.

Heidi is a member of the Firm’s General Litigation Practice Group, focusing on professional liability and insurance defense. She represents insurers, businesses, and professionals in complex disputes, handling all phases of litigation from evaluation through resolution. Known for practical, efficient strategies and clear communication, Heidi strives to deliver results aligned with client and carrier objectives.

Prior to joining the Firm, she maintained a plaintiff-side practice focused on personal injury and medical malpractice, including claims under New York Labor Law §§ 200, 240(1), and 241(6), as well as Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability/SSI matters. She has litigated in federal and state courts, including the Northern District of New York and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and has appeared before the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board and the Social Security Administration. Heidi has also handled appellate work, briefing matters before the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, and the New York Court of Appeals, and arguing before the Appellate Division.

Heidi serves on the Board of Directors of the Onondaga County Bar Association.
