Jeff Eaton is Special Counsel at Costello, Cooney & Fearon. He began his tenure with the Firm in 2025.
Jeff provides comprehensive legal counsel in both the municipal and bankruptcy spheres. Jeff represents a wide array of clients, ranging from municipalities to small businesses to creditors, helping them navigate complex legal and regulatory challenges.
Jeff advises towns, villages and developers on all aspects of municipal law. Jeff also serves as general counsel, guiding municipalities through day-to-day governance. His work includes comprehensive municipal code amendments, assisting with small scale renewable energy projects, forming special districts and defending clients in Article 78 proceedings and real property tax litigation. He also provides counsel on Article VIII permitting for large-scale renewable energy projects.
Jeff also represents small businesses in out-of-court workouts, Subchapter V bankruptcy proceedings and other restructuring transactions. He also has experience as a creditors’ rights attorney.
Jeff also practices in commercial real estate, representing clients in both purchase and sale.
